A market for the people who actually make things.
LimeLight is where Caribbean makers sell what they make — without handing a third of it to a platform. Island Made from Trinidad and Tobago, for the whole region.
The talent was never the problem
Anyone who has walked a craft market here knows the work is exceptional. What is missing is not skill — it is the plumbing. A way to be found by someone three islands away. A way to take an order without losing it in a comment thread. A way to look as professional online as the work deserves.
Most sellers end up on social platforms built for something else entirely, where a post disappears in an afternoon and nobody can search what you sell. The alternative — a global marketplace — wants a commission on every sale and settles in a currency and a timeframe that do not suit a small Caribbean business at all.
So we built the missing middle: a proper storefront and a proper order system, with the money going straight from the buyer to the maker.
LimeLight does not process payments and never asks for a card. A buyer pays the seller directly — usually a local bank transfer — uploads the receipt, and the two of them settle delivery over WhatsApp. We keep the record, provide the shopfront, and stay out of the transaction.
It means we make nothing from your sales. We charge for Spotlight — homepage features, unlimited listings, deeper analytics — and everything else is free, permanently, including a full storefront and 10 listings.
Six things we will not trade away
- 01
The maker keeps the money
We take no commission. Buyers pay sellers directly, so there is no cut, no clearing period, and no month where your earnings sit with somebody else.
- 02
Sell where people already talk
Orders land on your storefront, and the conversation happens on WhatsApp — where Caribbean business actually happens. No app to teach your customers, no inbox they will never check.
- 03
Small shops deserve good tools
A proper storefront, real stock control, order history and honest analytics — the things a big retailer takes for granted, given to a woman selling pepper sauce from her kitchen.
- 04
Every shop is a real person
Applications are read by hand. We would rather grow slowly with makers we can stand behind than fill the place with drop-shippers.
- 05
The region, not one island
Trinidad and Tobago first, because that is home, and outward from there. A Bajan potter and a Vincentian chocolatier should meet the same buyers.
- 06
Plain dealing
Clear prices, clear delivery zones, clear order states. When something goes wrong, a person reviews it and both sides get a straight answer.
- 0%Commission taken
- 100%Yours, every sale
- FreeTo open a shop

A small team, close to the sellers
LimeLight Marketplace Ltd. is a Trinidad and Tobago company. We are small enough that when you write to us, one of the people who built the thing reads it — which is the point, and also why applications are still reviewed by hand rather than by a filter.
If you make something and you have been meaning to sell it properly, we would like to hear from you. If you have thoughts about how this should work, we would like that even more.
Bring your work into the light
Opening a shop is free and takes a few minutes. Or just have a look around first — the shops are worth the walk.
